GF7 (Gaofen-7) is Chinaβs first sub-meter-resolution stereo mapping satellite. With panchromatic imaging at approximately 0.7-meter resolution, it can capture fine features such as urban blocks, roads, and buildings, supporting high-precision mapping and geographic information updates.
The satellite operates in a sun-synchronous orbit and uses a dual-line-array stereo mapping system to acquire high-precision stereo imagery. Its data can support topographic mapping at a scale of 1:10,000. Combined with its ground processing system, GF7 produces high-definition imagery with strong geometric accuracy and positional precision for urban planning, land surveys, and remote-sensing applications.
